Corindi Beach, pronounced Cor-in-“dye” although Cor-in-“dee” is widely used recently, historically also known as Pipeclay Beach until a name change in 1954, Corinda until a forced change to be provided postal service to avoid confusion or by Red Bank as Corindi River was formerly known, is a beach and small seaside farming town located on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. The village is situated 33 kilometres (21 mi) north of Coffs Harbour and 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of Grafton. The original village of Corindi is slightly north along the Pacific Highway at Post Office Lane and Casson Close. Corindi means “grey” in local indigenous language referring to the pipeclay on the beach.
Corindi is surrounded by the Tasman Sea to the east and the Pacific Highway to the west. The 30° south latitude line runs just north of Corindi Beach.
At the 2016 census, Corindi Beach had a population of 1686. It is the site of the Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre which provides information on the Gumbayngirr Aboriginal people’s history and customs. Corindi and surrounds has become a major blueberry producer, with many locals and tourists working during the peak seasons picking fruit.

Job Details

Currently looking for enthusiastic, motivated and smart people to join our team at the Corindi farm!


  • Picking blueberries, raspberries and blackberries – flexibility to work across other Farm Worker duties as needed is essential as tasks could vary on a daily or weekly basis
  • We require 200 workers on a casual basis from May 2021 until February 2022, weather dependant

Work pattern:

5 or 6 days a week, Monday to Sunday with rostered crew day off.

Pay rates

  • Picking is paid under a piece rate agreement in line with the Costa Berries Enterprise Agreement
  • Raspberries and blackberries per punnet
  • Blueberries per kilo
  • Farm worker tasks include both piece rate and hourly paid positions. You will be asked to enter into a ‘Piecework agreement’ with Costa. A piece rate amount for an average competent picker/pruner/weeder is $27.29 per hour of work. This means that your income will depend on how much work you perform rather than how many hours you work.
  • In the case of hourly work, which may include packing, planting and general farm work, the pay rate is i accordance with the Costa (Berry Category) Enterprise agreement 2019-20231 viz. $25.60 per hour.


Pay arrangements:

  • Weekly pay by bank transfer with emailed payslips



  • All Costa Berry sites are regional for working holiday 2nd and 3rd year visas
  • Paid in line with the Costa Berries Enterprise Agreement
  • Full training provided
  • Work health and safety managed as a priority onsite with qualified and experienced first aiders available at all times

  • Experienced and supportive supervisors who will assist you in maximizing your earnings
